2024 12th International Conference on Bioinformatics and Computational Biology (ICBCB 2024) was held during March 18-21, 2024 in Tokyo, Japan. ICBCB 2024 was Co-sponsored by Zhejiang University, Meiji University, and IEEE, this conference will bring together computational researchers, biomedical scientists, and healthcare providers from around the globe to discuss the latest research findings and innovative ideas in the field of bioinformatics and computational biology.
There are more than 100 experts and scholars from Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Germany, Indonesia, Ireland, India, Sri Lanka, United States, Vietnam, United Kingdom and 27 other countries and regions attended the conference. The aim of ICBCB 2024 is to provide a platform for all the participants in a constructive discussion on Bioinformatics and Computational Biology and related topics.
On March 19, Local Organizing Chair Prof. Hiroyuki Kudo from Meiji University, Japan, the General Chair Prof. Ming Chen from Zhejiang University, China, and Prof. Jun Ohta from Nara Institute of Science and Technology, Japan, delivered the Opening Remarks, extend warm congratulations and welcome to the conference. Then Prof. Yu Huang from City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, Prof. Ying Xu, from Southern University of Science and Technology, China, Prof. Prof. Yasubumi Sakakibara from, Keio University, Japan, Prof. Tuan D. Pham from Queen Mary University of London, UK and Prof. Mohamad Sawan from Westlake University, China shared their research work by keynote speeches.
Prof. Xinghua Lu from University of Pittsburgh, USA, Prof. Zhifu Sun from Mayo Clinic, USA, Assoc. Prof. Shiyang Ma from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China, , Assoc. Prof. Daniele Takahashi from Bahia Federal University, Brazil, Dr. Min Zhao from University of the Sunshine Coast, Australia delivered invited talks.
10 oral sessions and one poster session were successfully held under the joint efforts of session chairs and all presenters. They are broadly grouped in topics on "Biomedical Materials and Non-invasive Detection", "Modeling and Analysis of Biomechanics", "Biomedical Imaging and Medical Image Processing", "Computational Models for Biomedical Data Processing and Medical Informatics", "Biomedical Electronics and Biosensors", "Bioinformatics and Biological Sequence Analysis", "Biomedical Signal Analysis and Processing", "Protein-Protein Interaction and Molecular Biology", "Bioinformatics and Biomedical Image Processing", "Biomedical Materials, Biochemistry and Biomedical Informatics".
