2023 11th International Conference on Bioinformatics and Computational Biology (ICBCB 2023) was held Hangzhou, China in hybrid mode during April 21-23, 2023. ICBCB 2023 was co-sponsored by IEEE and Zhejiang University, hosted by Bioinformatics Society of Zhejiang Province, College of Life Sciences-Zhejiang University, and Biology and Bioinformatics Society, supported by China National GeneBank, Shanxi Medical University, and Zhejiang University of Technology.
There are more than 120 experts and scholars attended the conference. The aim of ICBCB 2023 is to provide a platform for all the participants in a constructive discussion on Bioinformatics and Computational Biology and related topics.
On April 22, the General Chair-Prof. Ming Chen from Zhejiang University delivered the Opening Remarks, extend warm congratulations and welcome to the conference. Then Prof. Zhongming Zhao from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, Prof. Xiyin Wang from North China University of Science and Technology, Prof. Buyong Ma from Shanghai Jiaotong University, and Prof. Jun Ohta from NARA Institute of Science and Technology shared their research work by keynote speeches.
Prof. Xiaogen Zhou from Zhejiang University of Technology, Mr. Xiaoqiang Li from China National GeneBank DataBase, Asst. Prof. Ning Shen from Zhejiang University, Dr. Shijian Chen from Shanxi University, Dr. Xiaowen Shi from Zhejiang University, Dr. Weimin Zhou from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Prof. Qi Yu from Shanxi Medical University, Assoc. Prof. Jun Hu from Zhejiang University of Technology, Assoc. Prof. Xubo Lin from Beihang University, Assoc. Prof. Chuan Xu from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Assoc. Prof. Aiping Yao from Lanzhou University, Prof. Guan Ning Lin from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Dr. Vladimir A. Ivanisenko from Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences delivered invited talks.
8 oral sessions and one poster session were successfully held under the joint efforts of session chairs and all presenters. They are broadly grouped in topics on "Gene Detection and Molecular Biology", "Emergency Disease Model and Prediction", "Gene Sequencing and Genetic Engineering", "Biological Image and Signal Processing Methods", "Application of Machine Learning Models and Algorithms in Computational Biology", "Molecular Biology and Biomedical Engineering", "Machine Learning Models and Data Analysis in Information Biology", "Medical Image and Signal Processing Technology" and poster session "Machine Learning Models and Data Analysis in Information Biology”.
